Pre Easter Reflections

My favorite part of Easter is Silent Saturday!
The day after the trauma of the cross on Friday but before the celebration of Resurrection Sunday!
It's the space between grief and joy.
It's the gap between the promise and the fulfillment of the promise.
It's the agonizing dance between doubt and faith.
It's the silent fight between fear and love.
It's the gap between despair and hope.
It's that awkward silence before an explosive victory.
It's the pause before the morning 🌄 dawn takes over darkness.
It's the short breath we cling to in pain and suffering before breakthrough comes.
In reality, most of life is spent in this space. Moments that feel like a series of Silent Saturdays!
Here is the good news:
God is silent does NOT mean He is absent.
Jesus never leaves things unfinished.
Even in his silence, He is still in control.
To anyone who find themselves in this space, Jesus invites us to:
Lean into his unfailing love
Trust God's character
Develop grit by embracing his peace.
Happy Silent Saturday!
Sunday is coming!
